I created the illustrations for this article by Susanna Ray, which addresses an increasingly common issue: digital threats that no longer begin with a technical attack, but with a message that appeals to our trust. The objective of the commission was to visually represent how design becomes the first line of defense in these new scenarios—where social engineering poses a greater risk than traditional “hacks,” and where understanding how we make decisions, what confuses us, and what protects us is just as important as any firewall.
I worked by exploring clear, conceptual compositions that could narrate this intersection between human behavior and digital security, aiming to convey the tension between the everyday and the vulnerable from a constructive, forward-looking perspective.

Ilustré este artículo de Susanna Ray, enfocado en una problemática cada vez más frecuente: las amenazas digitales que ya no comienzan con un ataque técnico, sino con un mensaje que apela a nuestra confianza. El objetivo del encargo fue representar visualmente cómo el diseño se convierte en la primera línea de defensa ante estos nuevos escenarios, donde la ingeniería social supera en riesgo a los clásicos “hackeos” y donde comprender cómo decidimos, qué nos confunde y qué nos protege es tan importante como cualquier firewall._
